Ned, You are an absolutely
fearless artist who is not afraid to put yourself out there, and I highly admire
you as someone who is not willing to compromise with who he is.

Congratulations, Ned! I’ve been listening to it and it’s very well done. You’re not only a fine
tunesmith, but a great engineer. That’s a good combination. Gidget, by the way, is in my
estimation right up there with anything I’ve ever heard by King Crimson. Truly superb. I’m
proud to have played on it, and to have been a part of your CD. Bravissimo!

Ned, We listened to the "Life in the Furniture City" CD on Sunday. It is amazingly diverse in styles and
very well engineered and recorded. Larry being a sound engineer at heart was impressed with how clean
and well voiced all the instruments came through. His only negative comment about the mix was that he
though that the vocals were a little up front on a couple of the cuts for his taste but we both agreed that your
reasoning for this was most likely so that the words and message of those songs could be clearly understood.
I loved the song "Psycho". It has a real Floyd kind of feel to it. I liked your blues song and how can you not
enjoy "People who turn into pigs." "They buy everything used except their tattoos" is a great line that had
both Larry and I laughing out loud. I also noticed you have updated the lyrics to "Life in the Furniture
City". A great song that brought back lots of old memories of us practicing it in the back room of my folks
house. My God where does the time go. It seems like I have been playing for ever. Wait a minute. I Have. To
sum it up, we both thought the CD was great with allot of musical twists and turns and I look forward to
popping open your latest release today. I will let you know what I think after a good listen.

Ned and Sara, I received your CD today, wrote you a check, dropped you
a line saying “I’m looking forward to listening to it”. WELL…I just had
the pleasure of listening to the entire CD and re-listening to several that I
really enjoyed and I wanted to let you know they moved me in a positive
direction. Reading your Palette credits drew me in to your creativity and
product. I want to especially thank you for your witness to your faith in
“For the Love of God”…it is beautiful. I am certain that your gifts and
talents will be used to reach many. Keep up the good work. You are
deeply appreciated and valued.

Hi. Ned. Thanks for the CD. Lots of nuggets for the surveyor
or miner. Your craft continues to gain a sheen as the years
wear on. You should be proud of this and all your efforts.
Hopefully, sometime we can do one together. Your song(s), of
course. I aint no writer, just a contributor to making things a
little more right.

Ned, I love this second CD The Reporter. The music and lyrics are excellent. I have
left it in my CD Player in the car now since I put it in there on Monday. It has
played through at least 5 times this week and each time it plays I here different
little twists to the music that just makes it an almost addictive to listen to
kind of album. One that every time you here it, it just grows on you more and
more. The production is great. More polished than the first one which I thought
was damn good but there is just something about this second one. I can't describe
it. Two thumbs up. Keep um coming. And by the way, I would be proud to
play on any future cuts where you think I might be able to add something. So far, it
doesn't sound like you are lacking for any guitar talent. All the playing I have
heard on your CD's is top notch. Keep up the good work.

Hi! The CD arrived! Thanks much! I haven't listened
to it all, but it sounds very powerful and dynamic. I
don't know if I've ever heard Bob Hartig
before, but he's very good (especially on that Frank
Zappa tribute). Yes, I too was reminded of Ruth
Underwood in your song. Nice work! I 'll be listening
to the other stuff soon.

Ned, I finally found my lost e-mail. I found your site and e-mail. BRAVO. The whole read is excellent . You never
cease to amaze me. Your portrayal of the band life and business is so right on and your ability to write it down with
wit and humor makes for a real fun read. Applause from me for sure. I look forward to hooking up with you some
time. I have been extremely busy with the Mane Street band . We haven't had a weekend off in four months. I would
love for you to come out sometime and catch the group. I think you know everyone in it. You can check out the web
site for dates and places. mane-st.com The best place to see this band in all it's glory is at the Crazy Horse Saloon on
M-57 just off the highway. Next week is our last week there before our all too short summer break. We finally have a
couple of weeks off coming up. Maybe we could get together. phone is, (&^*-&^%$). As a former member of the
"little band that could" I really enjoyed this piece. Look forward to seeing you some time soon.
Highest Regards, Tim Afton. 7-20-03
